Akshad Jha founded the Weekend School Foundation in 2020 with a mission to empower underprivileged children and support rural communities through education. A committed student at Dripping Springs High School, he also serves as vice president of the National Honor Society, balancing academic excellence with a deep dedication to community service. Akshad’s vision reflects a profound belief in the transformative power of learning, inspiring his peers and making a lasting impact on those less fortunate.

Dr. Shanti Jha
Co-Founder

Dr. Shantibhushan Jha is a board-certified veterinary orthopedic surgeon renowned for his expertise in treating complex musculoskeletal conditions in animals. Born in Bihar, India, he pursued his DVM and later completed his master’s at Oregon State University after immigrating to the United States. With a reputation for innovative surgical techniques and compassionate care, Dr. Jha is a leader in veterinary orthopedics. He also mentors aspiring veterinarians, contributes to research, and advocates for global animal welfare. His journey from rural India to a distinguished career in the U.S. showcases his dedication to excellence and education.

Surender Kumar, Vice President, Officer of Community & Opportunity

Mr. Kumar is a seasoned product design manager at GoKen America with a rich background in Aerospace, Automotive, and Power Equipment development, enhanced by his MBA expertise. With deep insight into the entire product life cycle, he specializes in driving projects from concept to market launch with a focus on efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction, all while integrating the latest technologies. Known for his dedication, integrity, and hard work, Mr. Kumar views each challenge as an opportunity to create meaningful impact.As an Officer of the Weekend School Foundation, he actively engages with communities to identify and support children who would benefit from additional educational resources. He is also committed to improving living conditions for the families in these communities, supporting a holistic approach to education and well-being.
