While the world is advancing rapidly with technology, the kids are being left behind. We would like to introduce them to the world of computers. Our technology program is aimed to help these children learn about the tools of the modern world and give access to a computer for every kid in the village..

Construction

With the new addition of computers to Weekend School Foundation, the kids needed a designated lab to work with the computers. the construction of this lab took about a week to finish.

Here you can see Dr. Jha instructing one of the children on how to use a computer. These kids did not know that a computer even existed. But, thanks to Dr. Jha, they were able to grasp a basic understanding of the device and how to use it.

Completed Computer Lab

This is a photo of the completed computer lab. You can see that each kids has their own cubicle with a computer to work with. The kids are learning a free basic coding program called 'Scratch". This program allows the kids to learn a "drag-and-drop" method of coding, which opens the door to sharper computer skills.
