Weekend School Foundation has taken the initiative to create a club at:

By doing this, we have given high school kids an opportunity to be global citizens, claim service hours, and help for the greater good.

Club Officers

Akshad Jha, President of WSF Club

Akshad Jha is a junior at Dripping Springs High School. He is one of the founding members of the Weekend School Foundation Club and the website builder for the official Weekend School Foundation. Akshad is also a National Honor Society member. In his free time, Akshad trains to be a boxer, rides motorcycles, and plays a classical Indian instrument called the veena.

Sofia Vences, Secretary of WSF Club

Sofia Vences is a junior at Dripping Springs High School. She is also part of the DSHS cross country team and the National Honor Society. Sofia is one of the founding members of the Weekend School Foundation Club. In her free time, she likes to run, study, and explore new areas. 

Ryan Schindler, Vice President of WSF Club

Ryan Schindler is a junior at Dripping Springs High School. He runs on the DSHS cross country team and is part of the National Honor Society. Ryan is one of the founding members of the Weekend School Foundation Club. In his free time, Ryan likes to lift weights, run, and eat good food.

Wes Anderson, Treasurer of WSF Club

Wes Anderson is a sophomore at Dripping Springs High School. He runs on the DSHS cross country team, and plays on the tennis team. He is one of the founding members of the Weekend School Foundation Club. In his free time, Wes makes sure to stay on top of his grades, and has fun by running with the cross country team on the weekends.

What We Do

The Weekend School Foundation Club at Dripping Springs High School is currently working on many projects to help better the rural village.

While most of us have access to trash collecting systems who collect are trash and dump it away for us. This keeps our house, and area clean. But when it comes to a rural village in India that does not have access to these systems, this is what we end up with:

The club members have developed a project to help fix this problem. We call it the TRCC project; Teach, Recycle, Compact, Compost. Read more in detail with this PDF.
